Yesenia’s professional experience has focused on promoting educational equity and access for all students. She has worked with Santa Rosa Junior College for the past two years as the English Language Learner Outreach Coordinator with the Office of Student Equity in the Petaluma Campus. She was previously employed as a School-to-Career Transition Specialist and Educational Community Worker with the Los Angeles County Office of Education, the nation’s largest regional educational agency. Yesenia has extensive experience advocating for historically underserved students, such as foster, probation, and parenting youth.  Yesenia has also worked with ELL high school students at Los Angeles Unified School District to support student success and facilitate college transitions. 

Yesenia's primary SRJC assignment is at the Petaluma Campus with a focus on south Sonoma County and Marin County schools along with other responsibilities.
